What does 'New Old Stock' mean for a car part?
New Old Stock, often shortened to NOS, describes original manufacturer parts that were made at the time but never fitted to a car. They may show signs of storage, such as faded packaging, but they are unused. NOS parts are valued by restorers because they match the car's original specification exactly, especially once a part is no longer produced by the manufacturer.
How can I tell an original enamel sign from a reproduction?
Every item in this category states whether it is original, refurbished original or a reproduction. As general guidance, original vintage enamel signs are usually heavier, show layered vitreous enamel with some chips around the edges and fixing holes, and carry age-consistent wear. Modern reproductions are often lighter, perfectly even and sometimes screen-printed rather than fired enamel.
Will this part fit my car?
Check the model names, chassis codes and year range given in the title and description, and compare the part number with your car's parts catalogue where one is listed. For wheels, confirm the bolt pattern, offset (ET) and diameter. If you are unsure, a marque specialist or club can confirm fitment before you order.
